When Ralph and Jean called us to look at their sunroom, they asked us, “Please don’t say I told you so!” Seventeen years ago Padgett Building added a screened in porch to their home that looks out over a lake. We told them at the time that if we installed windows they would be able to use the room more when the weather started to get cold. Seventeen years later the windows are installed and we also included a wall pack HVAC unit to heat and cool the area. Padgett Building refinished the walls and added Alterna flooring. Of course, with all the changes Ralph and Jean made they also had to get some new furniture!
With the addition to an already growing family, the homeowners saw an opportunity to add to the existing space in their home. They had the vision to convert the two story foyer into a common area on the second floor without compromising the already spacious look of the first first floor. The exchange of the large chandelier to a play area for all the kids was a slam dunk decision.
This client approached Padgett Building on making a major renovation to their home. They wanted to remove the existing garage they have and install a new great room, master bedroom suite and garage with utility room. Along with the major addition, we renovated the kitchen, installed all new Anderson windows throughout the house, installed a new slate tile roof, and installed Hardi Board lap siding on the existing home. The great room has built in cabinets and fireplace, wood beams, and a wood ceiling. The kitchen was made with custom wood cabinets, granite tops, and stainless steel appliances.
