Our client wanted to update their deck to meet both the needs of family entertaining and just relaxing. Padgett Building removed the existing deck and replaced it with a 22’ x 17” covered deck with a 2’x8’ area created off of the main deck for the grill. The deck was constructed from wolmanized posts and boards with a 2”x6” smooth cedar for the deck floor. The roof was constructed of TSI joists and hand framed on top to create a minimal slope to the roof and still provide ample drainage. Azek in white was used to trim the beams, arches, handrails and baluster supports. Black Deckorator balusters were used in the railing. Ceiling fans were installed for those warm days. Recessed can lights were installed for adequate lighting when grilling or just lounging. The wide and open stairs allow ease of access from all sides of the yard.
